Katie Flack is a plein air oil painter living in Washington, DC. She travels extensively throughout the United States, as well as internationally, to capture an array of landscapes.
Katie’s work evokes feelings of nostalgia. Painted en plein air, she strives to capture the fleeting moments of the landscape. Her colorful palette and richly painted scenes invite the viewer to experience the moment.
A worldwide traveler, she keeps her paints nearby to capture sights that enchant her. While she values painting in the studio, she enjoys the time she spends outside painting. Connecting with the scene’s sights, sounds and smells, have an impact on her paintings. Her en plein air paintings have the unique ability to bring her right back into the moment.

She was introduced to plein air painting at a workshop in New York City shortly after graduating and has loved it ever since.
