Staci Blanchard
Staci moved around a lot as a kid, but spent her formative years in Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. Artistic abilities run in her family, but she never did much with it outside of a class or two in school. She joined the Navy after high school and served on an ammunition ship during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. After her time in the military, she spent 8 years working in the hospital as a respiratory therapist. Staci eventually went back to school, waiting tables while she did, got married, and became a mom.
Staci started her art journey later in life. She found a local military in the arts program that worked with veterans like her, promoting mental health wellness through art therapy. At that time in Staci’s life, she had to put my career path on hold and became a full-time caregiver to her mother and mother-in-law. Art became a place she could go, put the outside world and all her responsibilities on hold, and focus on herself. What started as therapy quickly moved through the hobby phase and into a passionate outlet for creativity and personal growth.
