Pat Morrison

Pat Morrison currently lives in Chesapeake Beach, Md.  She received her BFA in Communication Arts & Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and has also studied at the Corcoran College of Art & Design and Montgomery College of Maryland.  For twenty years Morrison worked as a freelance editorial illustrator for a variety of newspapers, magazines and associations.  She later taught art for District of Columbia Public Schools at the Fillmore Arts Center, and for Charles County Maryland Public Schools.  Morrison's work is highly influenced by nature.  Her mixed media pieces are created using linocut prints combined with tempera underpaintings.  She is a member of the following galleries:  CalvART Gallery in Prince Frederick, Md, the St. Mary's Arts Council Gallery in Leonardtown, Md, and Sophia Street Studios in Fredericksburg, VA.  Recent shows include Calvert Library Prince Frederick, North End Gallery Invitational, and National Institute of Health Alcove Gallery.  She teaches printmaking workshops in various locations in Calvert County, Md.
