An award winning artist, mainly as a photographer since 1983, Lisa Stewart expands her love of art rendering her cherished photographs into oil paintings. Lisa enjoys painting all subjects, but is deeply drawn to depicting landscapes, pets, and still life moments. Her paintings capture the essence of her subject evoking in the viewer a sense of peace, or remembrance, and especially the sense that they are viewing something unique and unusual. Originally from Pennsylvania, Lisa lived and worked in the eastern U.S. from Maine to Florida, practicing her art in the unique environments of each state. She resides now in Manassas VA, exploring, painting and photographing the outstanding scenery of the mid Atlantic coast line to the mountains of West Virginia. Lisa specializes in commission work for individuals to enjoy fine art in their homes tailored for their pleasure. As well as studio work, she also enjoys Plein Air painting and sharing with casual observers the process of creating fine art. Lisa's greatest satisfaction is sharing the joy of the moment with others through her art.
