Stuart Allison Hindle has been painting since she was 12. She attended the Corcoran School of Art and then Rhode Island School of Design studying graphic design. After receiving a B.F.A., she worked for companies in Boston and New York, designing for television cable networks and TV stations around the U.S. It was not until she moved to Prague, CZ that she started painting again with oils on canvas.
By working from photos taken while exploring the countryside, Stuart paints in oils using an impressionistic style influenced by Pisarro, Sisley, Signac, Klimt and Childe Hassam. She exaggerates color, manipulates light and applies texture to create a mood for each painting. She has since traveled around the globe collecting images of landscapes for inspiration. Her award-winning work has been juried in many local shows in and around Northern Virginia and can be found in private collections throughout Europe and the United States.
Stuart now lives in Northern Virginia and has a studio with many other artists - "Studios at 307" in Falls Church at 307 East Annandale Road, Falls Church, VA 22042
